South African Voices

6 10 2006

The digital collection at the University of Wisconsin brings together the three-volume collection titled South African Voices, which was researched and brought together by Professor Harold Scheub. Drawing on his fieldwork beginning in the late 1960s, this set of works explores the histories, oral storytelling traditions, and poems that were part of various peoples in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the former country of Swaziland. Users can search through the entire contents of all three volumes, as well as listen to various audio excerpts from the collection. URL: http://digicoll.library.wisc.edu/SouAfrVc/
